1. If you don't have DirectX 8.1 (or later) on your computer, you have to install it first (DX8.1 is already installed with Windows XP)
2. Launch BALLOONrain
3. You are in the Main Menu
4. With the mouse, click on "New Game" (or you can use the arrow keys and enter)
5. Click on "Tutorial"
6. If you're a casual player, select "Kiddy" difficulty, if you're a more experienced player, select "Trainee" difficulty. If you don't want to have time pressure, then put "No time limit" on before to select the difficulty.
7. You're in the tutorial mode. There're 11 levels to teach you the basics of the game. Before each level, read the instructions, then click on play. If during play, you need to read the instructions again, then press 'Escape' key, and click on "Tutorial". When you finish a level, click on "Return to game" to play next one.
8. Once you finished the tutorial, go back to be main menu, click on "New game", then on "Puzzle", then on "Instructions" and read them. Then click on "Back", and click on "Play", select the difficulty, and now play!
9. Later, you could try other game modes. Maybe "Survivor" is the best one, but you be the only judge! If you can do 5000 points in the available Survivor level, then you're already good enough!

Note :

You feel a bit confused with the 3D view ?
No problem, there's also the classic 2D top view.
In the Main menu or in the Ingame menu (the one that pops up when you press 'Esc' during a game), click on "Options", then on "Game", and here select "Top" for the "Camera View".
